Los Alamos Guard Tower

I did a show in Los Alamos, New Mexico last weekend. This abandoned guardhouse was the first thing visitors would see upon visiting the lab back in the 40's. Part of the restaurant across the street from the tower was the guard barracks. In between was a toll-booth looking station where visitors were screened. The lab has since moved several miles away. Los Alamos has such an interesting history, and I'd like to go back someday and explore the town a bit more.

Huge Turquoise Rings

Both of these rings are orders, one for Miss Karen, who wears her big jewelry so well. The other is for a customer of Karen's from her Santa Fe Pony Express Gallery. Karen's beautiful horse paintings can be found in her darling gallery, which is in the Jackelope enclave.

Nacozari Turquoise Pendant

I made this pendant to match Miss Jane's Nacozari Turquoise ring. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. It is large and in charge, almost 4 inches from top to bottom, and it is heading your way, Jane!

Glorious Sonoran Sunset Pendant and Earrings

I was thrilled to obtain this gorgeous set of Sonoran Sunset recently--or Sonoran Sunrise, or even Cuprite, depending on who you talk to! These are some exceptional stones, with bright red cuprite, turquoise-colored chrysocolla, and black tenorite. This fabulous stone comes from Mexico, but the source is already depleted. These pieces are large and striking, with the pendant being 3 1/4 inches long, and the earrings almost 2 1/2 inches. One of my regular customers asked her mom to get this for her for a Christmas present--Merry Christmas, Tammy!

Large Amber Ring

I was fortunate to obtain some really nice Mexican amber last fall, and am finally working with it. Of course, a lot of what I got was bigger pieces, so fun! This ring is approximately an inch and a half by an inch and a half, by almost an inch tall! This cab even has an insect in it! Mexican amber is fairly rare, and is highly prized for being clear and natural. Apparently Baltic amber is almost always treated, which is disappointing! So, I'm very glad to have this yummy, glowing, Mexican amber! I will have a good selection of amber jewelry at my shows this summer.

LOVE BRACELET

I created and soldered all the sterling links in this bracelet, as well as the 9 heart and love sterling charms. The beads are amethyst, rose quartz, rhodonite and rhodochrosite, which are love stones, as well as tourmaline, sodalite, and a couple of glass beads for a bit of sparkle. This bracelet is $275.
