Large Amber Ring

I was fortunate to obtain some really nice Mexican amber last fall, and am finally working with it. Of course, a lot of what I got was bigger pieces, so fun! This ring is approximately an inch and a half by an inch and a half, by almost an inch tall! This cab even has an insect in it! Mexican amber is fairly rare, and is highly prized for being clear and natural. Apparently Baltic amber is almost always treated, which is disappointing! So, I'm very glad to have this yummy, glowing, Mexican amber! I will have a good selection of amber jewelry at my shows this summer.

LOVE BRACELET

I created and soldered all the sterling links in this bracelet, as well as the 9 heart and love sterling charms. The beads are amethyst, rose quartz, rhodonite and rhodochrosite, which are love stones, as well as tourmaline, sodalite, and a couple of glass beads for a bit of sparkle. This bracelet is $275.

Large Nacozari Turqoise Ring

Nacozari Turquoise was found in Mexico a few years ago, and is known for its bright blue color. Unfortunately, the mine is already depleted. This ring is an order for Jane from Texas, who says that

if you don't need to rest your hand on the head of a child, the ring is not big enough! Right on, Jane!

Gaspeite and Spiny Oyster Bracelet

Gaspeite Ring

We have lovely spring weather here in the mountains, and maybe that's why I'm drawn to work with the bright green stone of gaspeite. Gaspeite was originally found on the Gaspe Penninsula in Canada, and then was found in Australia. Both mines are now depleted.
